'Steps from the Beach - Miles from the Crowd' SOUTH BEACH INN, a South Padre original, is located just 150' from the Gulf of Mexico, uniquely nestled among stylish homes in a quiet residential section of beautiful South Padre Island. Ten clean, comfortable, ground floor efficiencies feature the standard amenities, two double/full beds, as well as full-size kitchen appliances, including refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffeemaker, & toaster. Parking is free and private at your room's rear door with the lawn and large pool - said to be the island's 'most historic' - just outside your front door. The 2nd floor Jr. Suites open onto a semi-private patio with view of the pool area. All rooms are smoke free, but guests who smoke are welcome to do so on the patio at their room's front door. Office hours are typically 9:00am to 6:00pm though arrangements can easily be made in advance for after-hours arrivals. Extra persons age 5 years and above are charged at $10-$20 per night, depending upon season.
