Mammoth Lakes, United States Tamarack Lodge & Resort, on the shore of Twin Lakes, has been welcoming mountain adventurers since 1924. Lodge rooms and cabins blend refinement and rusticity, all in a romantic alpine setting just 2.5 miles yet a world away from town. Tamarack Lodge & Resort includes 11 rooms, 28 cabins (many recently renovated), the Lakefront Restaurant and the Tamarack Cross Country Ski Center. The Lakefront Restaurant, inside the Lodge, serves Mammoth's finest continental fare. This intimate restaurant has only ten tables - reservations are advised. All cabins have kitchens, private bathrooms, heat, porches and telephones. Kitchenware, towels and linens are provided, and light daily housekeeping is included.
